1. Sophie's Parents

Mark is now engaged to Sophie but is having crippling doubts. After being invited to spend Sophie's birthday weekend with her parents in the countryside he is desperate to impress them, but foolishly invites Jeremy to come along.

2. Conference

Jez and Mark are at a hotel, each with their own nightmare to defuse. Mark is offered a promotion on condition that he delivers a presentation to the entire board, while Johnson takes a shine to Big Suze and tries to bribe Jeremy into letting him sleep with her.

3. Gym

Mark continues to be tormented by doubts about the advisability of marrying Sophie, and joins a gym to spend as much time away from her as possible. Meanwhile, Jeremy starts working as a cleaner in a bid to get closer to ex-wife Nancy, hoping against hope for a reconciliation.

Jeremy gets a job working as a handyman for his hero, techno musician Russell, but Mark suspects Russell's motivation.

Mark goes to a school reunion and considers embarking on an illicit affair with a girl he used to fancy.

As Mark's best man, Jeremy has organised his stag weekend which consists of the pair of them on a canal boat in Shropshire. Instantly bored, things are spiced up for the pair of them when Jez meets a girl and Mark gets offered a job in India.
