Barker plays Alan Joyce, a man who is forced to go on a starvation diet by his wife Marion (Prunella Scales). While food-loving Alan thinks he can get his way around this with several long-established tricks and hidden treats around their flat, he is shocked to discover Marion has got wise to him. Surely there must be a way of getting some food?
