Series 6, Episode 2 - Tales Of Terror

Victor is alarmed when a routine medical test turns out to have sinister implications. He also has problems with the builders and Mrs. Warboys's cousin Wilf's voice synthesiser, whilst Margaret tries to avoid a terrible telephone conversation...

Further details

Cousin Wilf is back staying with Jean again, but since a stroke has lost his voice and has to type everything into a small computer. Sadly his typos are leading to some very awkward misunderstandings, and driving Victor right up the wall.

Meanwhile, builders Victor had hired to lay a crazy-paved front path have done nothing but dump a pile of bricks next to the front door, warranting an angry outgoing phone call, whilst Margaret attempts to avoid answering to the terribly boring Ronnie and Mildred, lest they be invited out somewhere.

Attempting to escape an outing with Jean and Wilf, they pretend to be out for the day - Victor has rehearsals after being co-opted into Nick's latest amateur dramatics production, but Margaret is merely sunbathing in the garden; sadly Jean has a spare key and ends up popping in, leaving her running to hide!

After an eventful night's sleep Victor is due for a check up at the hospital and Margaret attempts to change the number plate for their new car, but, as ever, events get the better of them both. A final phone call from Ronnie puts their stresses into perspective...
