Broadcast Awards 2022 comedy nominees revealed

The nominees for the Broadcast Awards 2022 have been revealed. Organised by the TV trade magazine, the much sought-after prizes feature a number of comedy-related shows in the shortlists.

The Best Comedy Programme shortlist is as follows. Notably, it features two new pilots - Dreaming Whilst Black and Ladybaby - amongst the list.

Elsewhere in the shortlists:

Don't Hate The Playaz and The Ranganation appear in the Best Entertainment Programme category alongside I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, Strictly Come Dancing, The Masked Singer and Too Hot To Handle.

Staged is nominated for Best Lockdown Programme.

Big Zuu's Big Eats and Jerk have been selected in the Best Multichannel Programme category.

The one-off comedy drama Together is up for the Best Original Programme prize.

The Best Popular Factual Programme category features Joe Lycett's Got Your Back.

Sky's Christmas comedy drama special Roald & Beatrix: The Tail Of The Curious Mouse is nominated for Best Single Drama.

Meanwhile the Best Children's Programme category features Almost Never, Dodo and The Rubbish World Of Dave Spud.

The winners of the Broadcast Awards 2022 will be revealed on 10th February 2022 at a ceremony in London. The full shortlists for all genres can be seen via broadcastawards.co.uk
