  • Netflix has confirmed that Sex Education will return for Series 4
  • The new episodes are expected to go into production in 2022

Sex Education will return for a fourth series.

Netflix confirmed the recommission this weekend as part of a fan event it was running. The day-long Netflix Tudum, which is named after the sound the streaming company's logo makes on the loading screen, saw the streaming giant making a number of announcements, including that the hit comedy drama set at Moordale school has been greenlit for more episodes.

The company shared a post on its social media accounts:

News of the recommission has been expected, as Laurie Nunn's show about teenagers navigating school and relationships has proved very popular with Netflix subscribers.

Series 3 of Sex Education launched on Friday 17th September and, at the time of writing, is still in the #1 spot in the platform's UK Top 10 list, indicating it is currently the show the most subscribers are opting to stream.

Production on the new episodes is expected to start in 2022.
