Sky One will broadcast the latest instalment of The Trip, Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon's comic travel series.

Filming has just started on the latest adventure, with Brydon posting an image (shown above) on his social media accounts confirming the two of them are now on the island.

The Trip To Greece will be the fourth series of the show, following on from the original BBC series in 2010, The Trip To Italy in 2014 (also shown on BBC Two), and The Trip To Spain in 2017.

The third series saw the show jump from the BBC to Sky Atlantic, but it has been confirmed today that The Trip To Greece will premiere on Sky's flagship channel Sky One, rather than Sky Atlantic.

Sky confirms of the new episodes: "The Sky original series, from Revolution Films and directed by Michael Winterbottom, will see Steve and Rob's fictionalised characters embark on a road trip around Greece for a fresh helping of gastronomic adventures.

"Succulently seasoned with laughter, impressions and scintillating conversation, The Trip To Greece is sure to satisfy viewers' palettes as the duo lock horns over tragedy, comedy, myth and history. All while dining on cuisine traditional to beautiful Greek hot spots including; Assos, Kavala, Stagira, Athens, Epidaurus, Hydra and Plyos among many many others."

Sky's Head of Comedy, Jon Mountague, says: "What a joy to go island hopping with the incomparable Steve and Rob. Greece is the birthplace of democracy but more importantly the birthplace of Michael Winterbottom's latest vision, which we can't wait to share with our customers. Yamas!"

The six half hour episodes will be broadcast on Sky One and Now TV in 2020.
