Sara Pascoe is to host a new TV pilot called Comedians Giving Lectures.

The format sees the stand-up comedian challenging fellow comics to "venture into unchartered territory by giving an inspiring lecture on a random topic of her choice".

British Comedy Guide understands that the pilot is being produced by 12 Yard Productions.

Further information has yet to be revealed, but a call for audience members teases: "Powerpoints and pie charts have never been so much fun!", adding "Join us for a free evening of top class stand-up comedy and possibly enlightenment."

The guests taking part in the pilot will be Ed Gamble, Dane Baptiste and Suzi Ruffell.

Pascoe has previously presented The Modern Monkey, a series on Radio 4 in which she talked about theories of evolutionary psychology. Her best-selling book Animal, focusing on the female body, was published in 2016. Her next book, due out in 2019, is titled Sex Power Money.

The pilot for Comedians Giving Lectures will be recorded next Tuesday (13th November 2018) at Regent's University. The private education establishment, located inside Regent's Park in London, was named last year as the most expensive place to study in the UK, but boasts high quality facilities. Free tickets

Further details about Comedians Giving Lectures are expected to be revealed in due course.
