Dave's Advent Calendar to include 24 comedy shorts
- Channel Dave is to broadcast 24 two minute comedy shorts in the run up to Christmas
- Dave's Advent Calendar will run between the 1st and 24th December, with a Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve

Dave has announced 24 new comedy shorts.
It will broadcast a new two minute comedy every day of Advent 2018, in the run up to Christmas.
Dave's Advent Calendar will feature comedians including Ed Gamble, Nick Helm, Rachel Parris, Kerry Godliman, Romesh Ranganathan and Zoe Lyons. A full list of stars is at the bottom of this article.
The channel says: "An exclusive comedy treat, Dave's Advent Calendar promises a festive insight into the finest minds in British comedy from why Romesh hates all Christmas presents, to Geoff Norcott's Woke and Non-Woke Festive Thoughts, why Christmas makes Natasia Demetriou horny, and how much Andrew Maxwell hates turkey. Like, really hates it."
They add: "Dave's Advent Calendar concludes on Christmas Eve with a spectacular version of A Christmas Carol, which will never be the same again."
UKTV commissioning editor Joe McVey says: "I'm really pleased to say that this year Dave is offering up an advent calendar with 24 actual human people lurking behind the doors. It's so much better than the ones with chocolate or the ones with lame pictures of snow people. Unless you really like chocolate."
Luke Hales, Dave channel director added: "What a treat, what a daily 9pm Christmassy treat, finally an advent calendar we can all actually enjoy... Enjoy!"
Director and executive producer Steve Wynne from production company Strawberry Blond adds: "Dave's Advent Calendar includes a nativity scene made of sushi, a vicar being shouted at, and a fist up a turkey. Merry Christmas."
