Iain Stirling (pictured), Desiree Burch, Luisa Omielan, Fin Taylor, Darren Harriott, Kiri Pritchard-Mclean, Tez Ilyas, Stephen Bailey and Sofie Hagen are to record stand-up specials for Comedy Central.

The nine performances will be collected up under the series title Comedy Central Specials. Each 22 minute episode will be dedicated to one comedian's live stand-up performance.

Louise Holmes from Comedy Central says: "We always look forward to filming live stand-up and capturing the very best performances on the circuit right now. This series forms part of our ongoing commitment to identifying and developing the future stars of live comedy and stand-up - and we have a truly fantastic and diverse line up of talent on board."

The programme joins the channel's other stand-up formats Comedy Central At The Comedy Store, Roast Battle and Stand Up Central. The Comedy Store show is currently on air, with the latter two formats due to return for another series this October.

The Comedy Central Specials series will be filmed in Camden this October, to be broadcast on Comedy Central UK in Spring 2019.
