Misfits wins two Broadcast Awards

E4 superhero comedy drama Misfits picked up two awards at this year's Broadcast Awards.

The programme picked up prizes for 'Best Multichannel Programme' and 'Best New Programme' at the industry awards ceremony organised by TV trade magazine Broadcast. E4 also picked up the award for 'Channel of the Year'.

Elsewhere The Thick of It was given the award for "Best Comedy Programme" and Left Bank Pictures, the company which makes E4 sketch show School of Comedy and ITV comedy drama Married Single Other, was named 'Best Independent Production Company'.

A third series of Misfits is currently being written.
