Digital channel Dave has confirmed today that it has commissioned five more hour-long episodes of Dave's One Night Stand, its V format in which comedians return to their home town to perform a stand-up gig.

The headline acts for Series 2 will be Chris Addison (pictured), Dave Gorman, Mark Watson, Greg Davies and Jason Byrne.

As in the first series, the format of the show sees the headline comedian giving a tour of their own home town, before performing on stage at the local theatre alongside two other stand-up acts handpicked by themselves.

Series 1 was the digital channel's highest rating commission of 2010. The line-up, which included Ben Elton, Johnny Vegas, Sarah Millican, Jack Whitehall and Russell Kane, attracting 4.7 million viewers to the channel during its run.

Filming for Series 2 begins early next month, with the show visiting Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Shrewsbury and Dublin. Free tickets for three of the dates are available to be booked now from www.applausestore.com

Series 2 of Dave's One Night Stand will be broadcast in April 2011.
