Presenter Claudia Winkleman is to host a new comedy chat show pilot for Channel 4. The network is to film a trial episode of King Of... With Claudia Winkleman next month, with a view to ordering a series.

The format, created by Big Talk Productions and Saltbeef TV, will see Winkleman chatting to two celebrity guests to discover what they think is the 'king' of various categories. Example questions include: Which is the greatest take-away meal? What is the best beverage ever invented, and which is the all-time cutest animal - the bush-baby, the seal cub or the marmoset?

Producers say that audience members can expect "very funny, highly informative and fact-filled chat, with a lot of opinionated shouting thrown in."

Claudia Winkleman, who is a regular panellist on shows like 8 Out Of 10 Cats, currently presents Film 2011, Strictly Come Dancing's results show, and The Radio 2 Arts Show. She has also hosted three series of Hot Gossip, a Radio 2 comedy panel show.
