The CBBC Channel is launching a new studio-based comedy show called Dick and Dom's Funny Business. Hosted by popular kids' TV presenters Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood, the ten-part series will feature guests already familiar to adult comedy audiences.

New acts and circuit regulars will perform child-friendly stand-up and sketches on the show, with the programme acting as a platform for the comedians to introduce themselves to the next generation of comedy fans.

Producers say: "This brand new show has comedy at its heart. Dick and Dom will be working with the funniest people in Britain. As well as playing host to the best new acts on the comedy circuit, there will be a celebrity guest to join in on the fun each week too."

Guests confirmed so far include stand-up comedians Stephen K Amos and Jason Byrne, and comedy actors Warwick Davies and John Thomson, with more names due to be announced soon.

Dick and Dom's Funny Business will be shown on CBBC on Saturday mornings from the 8th January 2011, with recordings taking place during December and January. To be in the audience see our free tickets page
