The show, made by production company Avalon, features Frank Skinner and two guest comics commenting on the week's news. It has been recommissioned by the controller of BBC Two, Janice Hadlow, with a six-part series set to broadcast in the spring and another in the autumn next year.

Skinner commented: "I'm massively pleased that the BBC have commissioned another two series of Opinionated. I knew my buy one get one free suggestion would win them over."

Each week the show will be recorded in front of a studio audience in a different part of the country. This was also the aim for Series 1, however due to a volcanic ash cloud preventing air travel, some episodes from Series 1 ended up being broadcast from London.

The six-part first series, which was Skinner's first regular presenting job for over a decade, attracted on average 2 million viewers an episode when it was broadcast in April and May.

Here is a clip from the first series in which Skinner talks about driving cars with guests Lee Mack and Sarah Millican. The host reveals how he failed his driving test.
