Hugh Dennis, the star of Outnumbered, Mock the Week and The Now Show, is set to host a new improvised comedy show. Fast and Loose appears to be partly based on the format of Whose Line is it Anyway?, the classic comedy show hosted by Clive Anderson which was a huge hit for Channel 4 in the 1990s.

Dennis will host a non-broadcast pilot episode of Fast and Loose later this month. This new show has been created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson, the producers behind Mock the Week and the creators of the original hit improvisation show, Whose Line is it Anyway?

Fast and Loose will feature skilled comic performers spoofing TV genres and "playing characters in a series of hilarious improvised games suggested by the host and studio audience."

A collection of experienced comedy performers, who will be familiar to followers of the live comedy circuit, have been signed up to take part in the pilot episode. The guest list includes Edinburgh Award winning comics Tim Key & Laura Solon; Greg Davies and Marek Larwood from sketch group We Are Klang; skilled musical comedians Justin Edwards and Pippa Evans; stand-up Andi Oshi; and Humphrey Ker from sketch group The Penny Dreadfuls.

Fast and Loose will be recorded at BBC TV Centre on Thursday 27th May 2010. To see the show, visit our tickets page
