Romesh Ranganathan is to host a panel show pilot for Sky One.

Romesh's Look Back To The Future will see the comedian fronting the show in which "3 stars put their reputations on the line" as they predict what will happen in the forthcoming year.

The 90 minute special, produced by Michael McIntyre's Big Show producers Hungry Bear Media, will see the celebrity guests supported by hologram versions of themselves.

The format will seat three panellists side-by-side with their hologram as they compete to see who has made the most accurate predictions about future events.

The producers say: "Who would have predicted a year ago that Donald Trump would be President? That Bake Off would go to Channel 4? That a £5 note containing beef would enter circulation? Or that Italy wouldn't qualify for the World Cup?

"It's never been more difficult to predict what will happen tomorrow let alone in 12 months. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't try! Join Romesh Ranganathan as he presents exciting material for a ground-breaking new comedy game show."

The pilot episode of Romesh's Look Back To The Future will be recorded at Sky's studios in West London on Sunday (28th January).

It's a busy time for the stand-up comedian. He is also working with Sky to film a new sitcom series, The Reluctant Landlord (pictured). Meanwhile it was also announced today that he will host Judge Romesh, a new series for channel Dave in which he presides over genuine disagreements between members of the public. The format will see him "mete out comic judgement in his own inimitable style."
