ITV2 will follow Keith Lemon in the USA for a new series, Keith Lemon: Coming In America.

Comedian Leigh Francis has recorded six 45-minute episodes as his hit character creation for the channel, to be broadcast in 2018.

The show "will follow the irrepressible Keith Lemon as he and some of his best loved sketch show characters head to L.A. to try to break America".

Producers explain: "With a documentary film crew recording his every move, Keith Lemon: Coming In America will chart Keith's journey as he attempts to realise his ultimate dream of hosting his own US chat show. After all, if James Corden can do it, why not Keith Lemon?

"Taking some of his favourite sketch alter-egos along for the ride including The Urban Fox, The Big Fat Gypsy Kardashians and David Dickinson as well as introducing some brand new characters, Keith will do whatever it takes to become the next big thing in La-La Land."

A range of guest stars will appear in the series. Alongside others yet to be announced, Keith will mingle with Sharon and Jack Osbourne, Spencer Pratt, Emma Bunton, John Barrowman and Gene Simmons.

Keith Lemon says: "I'm right excited t' be coming in America. Who knows what might 'appen. It's like they say, if you can make it there ya can make it anywhere! Actually that's New York, I'm going to L.A. Anyway I've got me factor 50, it's gonna be a lot of fun! Me chatting to some hopefully familiar faces (depending who I run into) and there'll also be a few familiar faces from me sketch show. I wonder if they've got urban foxeses in California?"

Leon Wilson, Managing Director of production company Talkback adds: "To make it in Hollywood you need grit, determination, ambition and confidence, all qualities Keith has in abundance. I'm looking forward to following every step of his Stateside journey and wish him all the best on what promises to be an amazing L.A adventure. The latest series of Celebrity Juice is currently airing on the channel, with a new series of mainstream ITV hit Through The Keyhole now filming. Prior to the launch of Celebrity Juice, the character's first solo TV outing was in 2008's Keith Lemon's Very Brilliant World Tour, also for ITV2, in which he spent some time in the US.
