Filming has just commenced on Series 2 of BBC Three's unique comedy format, Murder In Successville.

The semi-improvised show, in which Tom Davis plays a detective investigating a crime whilst a guest celebrity joins him without having been given a script to follow, will return for six more episodes later this year. The new run follows the well-received first series, which was broadcast in May and June 2015.

Production company Tiger Aspect confirms "Filming has just commenced on an all-new six-part series. It sees D.I. Sleet return to the crime-ridden streets of Successville with a brand new batch of celebrity sidekicks."

Five of the six guests for the new series have now been announced:

Emma Bunton - the former Spice Girls singer, now a Heart FM presenter.

Mark Wright - the Only Way Is Essex star turned media personality.

Chris Kamara - the Sky Sports reporter.

Vicky Pattison - the Geordie Shore star who won I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.

George Shelley - the Union J singer.

The producers say: "More news will follow, but suffice to say these brave individuals will be challenged to help solve the murders of some of Successville's high-profile residents."

Series 2 of Murder In Successville will be on BBC Three later this spring. With the channel becoming an online only platform from February 16th, episodes will initially be available on BBC iPlayer, however a repeat run on BBC One or BBC Two will follow at a later date.
