Channel 4 and Open Mike Productions have today confirmed a sixth year of their O2 Comedy Gala.

To be held on Friday 15th May at the arena in Greenwich, the gala will be entering its sixth year, raising money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.

The charity is currently seeking funds for a brand new operating theatre at the world famous hospital for children.

Comedians confirmed to be appearing in the 2015 line-up include Alan Carr (pictured), Jack Dee, Katherine Ryan, Michael McIntyre and Jon Richardson.

Over the previous five years, Channel 4's Comedy Gala Live At The O2 has raised £3.6 million for the hospital. It was established by the late Addison Cresswell, MD of Open Mike and agent for comedians including Lee Evans and Michael McIntyre.

Other comics announced today include Aisling Bea, Jason Byrne, Jonathan Ross, Josh Widdicombe, Kevin Bridges, Paul Chowdhry, Rich Hall, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Sara Pascoe, Sean Lock, Seann Walsh and Shappi Khorsandi.

In previous years, comedians such as Lee Evans, Jo Brand, Micky Flanagan, Keith Lemon and Jack Whitehall have also taken part in the show.

As usual, the evening's events will be recorded for broadcast in a 2-hour Channel 4 special later in the Summer.

Tickets will go on sale at 9am this Friday, 6th March, priced between £40 and £150. They will be available from TicketMaster

Tim Johnson, Chief Executive of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, said: "Around one in three inpatients at Great Ormond Street Hospital will have surgery at some point during their stay, so it's vital for us to have modern, world class surgical facilities. The money raised by the Channel 4 Comedy Gala is helping us make a real difference for patients and families from across the UK."
