BBC Three has released all the episodes of pirate radio station sitcom People Just Do Nothing on iPlayer.

The four episodes, which have all been published simultaneously, are now available to view for free within the UK. Watch

This is the first BBC-made comedy to premiere in full online before being broadcast on linear TV. It is part of a strategy to adjust viewers to streaming programmes from the iPlayer, with plans mooted to turn BBC Three into an online-only channel in 2015.

People Just Do Nothing is a mockumentary series based around pirate radio station Kurupt FM. The show, which had previously been piloted in 2012 as part of the Comedy Feeds strand, follows the DJs behind the 'second most popular pirate radio station in West London'. There they receive 'up to eight texts per show' from listeners.

People Just Do Nothing has been created by Steve Stamp, Allan Mustafa and Hugo Chegwin and stars the trio alongside Daniel Sylvester Woolford, Asim Chaudhry and Lily Brazier. They were talent spotted after having filmed themselves doing some five-minute comedy webisodes which they put on YouTube. After the BBC saw these, they were commissioned to write the full half-hour pilot as part of Comedy Feeds. The pilot became the most shared programme on iPlayer during July 2012, resulting in a full series commission.

Ash Atalla from production company Roughtcut Television says: "A brand-new series launched in a brand-new way. People Just Do Nothing is the first UK-made comedy series to play out in full on BBC iPlayer ahead of its transmission on BBC Three. The premiere will allow people to binge watch what is one of my favourite ever shows."

The episodes will be broadcast on BBC Three later this year. Meanwhile they are available to stream on iPlayer until Friday 13th June. The 4 episodes on iPlayer
