Comedian Ian Stone is to host a football chat show on premium channel BT Sport from this Friday night.

The stand-up will be joined by musician and comic rapper Doc Brown for 19 weekly episodes of The Football's On!.

To be broadcast on Friday nights from this Friday 9th May, the duo will be joined by a comedian each week to discuss "the beautiful game" and the previous week in the sport's headlines.

Guests already confirmed include Milton Jones, Omid Djalili, Josh Widdicombe, Frankie Boyle, Jason Manford, Mark Steele, Henning Wehn, Tim Vine, Sean Hughes and Clive Anderson.

Ian Stone warns viewers that "this show is guaranteed to contain no traces of serious football punditry!"

Stone is a well known football fan. He's a regular guest on Radio 5Live panel show Fighting Talk; has presented Rock 'N' Roll Football on Absolute Radio and co-hosts with Alan Davies The Tuesday Club, a long-running podcast about Arsenal football club. Meanwhile Doc Brown - real name Ben Bailey Smith - is a Crystal Palace fan.

Launched in 2013 and based at the former media centre in East London's Olympic park, BT Sport is available to BT YouView customers and as a premium channel on the Sky satellite platform.

The Football's On! is on BT Sport at 11pm. The first guest is David Baddiel.
