Somewhere between Rising Damp and Only Fools And Horses, this new sitcom from Men Behaving Badly writer Simon Nye showcases the clashes between the residents in a North London 'guest house' - although that phrase might make it sound a little nicer than it is.

Navid is a self-styled Iranian entrepreneur who is down on his luck trying to make a decent living running several businesses at once. When Johnny arrives in Britain from Nigeria, landlady Mrs Ledley, played by Lisa Maxwell, gives him the biggest room in the house.

Navid is furious but in an effort to win favour with Mrs Ledley, with whom he's in love, he offers to take her ailing Mum on a trip round London she'll never forget.

A series was commissioned from a non-broadcast pilot entitled In My Country, but the project now seems to be dead.
