Mrs Brown's Boys deserved last laugh over comedy snobs

Mrs Brown's Boys has never been admired by the intelligentsia nor the critics, but it is hugely popular. Millions of viewers, including my own dear mother, love it, finding it hilarious.

Of course Mrs Brown's Boys beat Fleabag at the NTAs

Whatever the reason Mrs Brown's Boys beat out some of the most acclaimed TV comedies of the decade (and, in Fleabag's case, all time), the fact remains that it did. Mrs Brown's Boys 2019 specials review

If you don't like Mrs Brown's Boys by now, nothing I've written will change your mind. It's one of those shows that you love or you hate and, as someone who loves it, I can recommend these latest two festive offerings. It's more of the same family-oriented humour, focusing unashamedly on making you laugh and nothing else, and it does a wonderful job - comedy doesn't need to be anything else.

Graeme Virtue, The Guardian, 1st January 2020

Mrs Brown's Boys is now Jamaica's most popular comedy

It's the potty-mouthed comedy that divides opinion in Britain - but Mrs Brown's Boys is winning a whole new audience of sitcom fans around the world.
