BBC gets over complaints over dropping Mrs Brown repeat

The BBC has defended its decision to axe an episode of Mrs Brown's Boys after over 100 people complained. The broadcaster explained that Arsenal and Newcastle's FA Cup meet on January 9 had forced a last-minute schedule tweak as the game ran into extra time.

Mrs. Brown's Boys boss Brendan O'Carroll is being sued by former co-star Gary Hollywood.

The comedy actor and show chief, 65, faces claims of constructive dismissal and workplace discrimination after a row over pay.

Gary, 41, who quit the sitcom in the ­autumn, says he is also taking legal action against the BBC.
