1. While The Cat's Away

First broadcast: Wednesday 9th January 1974

Whilst the Ropers visit a friend (much to George's disapproval) overnight, Robin, Chrissy and Jo take the chance to host a party in their flat. Robin and Chrissy have particular cause to hope the evening goes well.


2. Colour Me Yellow

First broadcast: Wednesday 16th January 1974

During a break from decorating the flat, Robin's attempt to stand up for Chrissy against an oaf in the pub quickly goes awry when said oaf turns out to be significantly taller. Surely he's not a coward?


3. In Praise Of Older Men

First broadcast: Wednesday 23rd January 1974

Chrissy's really quite taken with her new, older boyfriend, Ian. Mrs. Roper's rather fond of him too - although she's better friends with his wife.


4. Did You Ever Meet Rommel?

First broadcast: Wednesday 30th January 1974

It's the Ropers' 20th wedding anniversary, and with George unwilling to mark it of his own initiative, Chrissy invites the couple to dinner. Robin, however, has already invited a German course-mate.


5. Two Foot Two, Eyes Of Blue

First broadcast: Wednesday 6th February 1974

Chrissy and Robin take Jo's place babysitting for a neighbour when she manages to double book herself, arranging a date on the same evening. Could romance finally blossom?


6. Carry Me Back To Old Southampton

First broadcast: Wednesday 13th February 1974

Robin fails his National Diploma in Catering and decides to move back home to Southampton and work for his dad.
