The Booth household is busy preparing for Christmas. The Booth household, that is, minus Eddie, who is otherwise engaged with Christmas "spirit" - which means Joan must come alone.

But when wayward Eddie returns to his usual verbal chastisement, his punishment is increased by his dreams of Christmas Dinner in which he has pride of place - as the main course!
