Has it really been 14 years since Angus Deayton was in charge of Have I Got News For You? The guest hosts idea was presumably only intended to last until they found a new host, but here we are on Series 51 with people still rotating around the central seat.

This new series will pass the landmark of the 100th different guest presenter having a go at steering the show. That honour goes to Tracey Ullman.

Following the success of her BBC One sketch show, the shape-shifting transatlantic comedy hero will be sitting in the central seat this Friday 15th April. Tracey comments: "I am really looking forward to appearing on a national treasure."

Tracey will be joined on screen by guests Rev Richard Coles and BBC News anchor Clive Myrie and, of course, Ian Hislop and Paul Merton.

Victoria Coren Mitchell will host Episode 3, with stand-up Romesh Ranganathan, and comedy icon Eddie Izzard, fresh from his latest record-breaking 27 marathon runs for Sport Relief, as the guests.

Jo Brand, who recently walked 135 miles from coast to coast, also for Sport Relief, will be back in the host's chair this series too. She's set to be joined on Episode 4 by actress and comedian Diane Morgan (aka Screenwipe's Philomena Cunk), and veteran journalist and broadcaster Andrew Neil.

Other guest hosts confirmed for later in the run include former Doctor Who, David Tennant; controversial Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle; legendary England footballer and Match Of The Day presenter Gary Lineker; Canadian comedian and actress Katherine Ryan; and Doc Martin star Martin Clunes.

Have I Got News For You is on BBC One on Fridays at 9pm.

This page was updated on the 15th April to include the picture of Tracey hosting the show and adjust the list of guests.
