Joe Lycett's Got Your Back. Joe Lycett

Joe Lycett's Got Your Back is returning for a Christmas special.

The show, in which the comedian investigates and champions consumer rights, was last on air in October 2021, but fans will be pleased to know the format is set to continue.

The producers say: "In this exciting show for Channel 4, comedian Joe Lycett fights for justice on behalf of the public. Famed for his own epic battles with petty officials and dodgy scammers, Joe campaigns on behalf of people who've been wronged by corporate giants, caught out by dubious claims and hoodwinked by fraudsters. With celebrity guests, hidden camera investigations and fun in studio, this is your chance to join Joe in his quest for justice.

"This Christmas special sees Joe take on some of his biggest targets yet, as he aims to right some final wrongs before the year is out."

The studio elements of the programme will be recorded at Woolwich Works on Monday 5th December (free tickets).

Meanwhile, Lycett's sell-out tour show More, More, More! How Do You Lycett? How Do You Lycett? is being released online.

It will be available exclusively through Joe's website, joelycett.com from this Friday (11th November) at 9am, at a price of £10.

Publicity explains: "For the last four years (the very right wing artist formerly known as Hugo Boss) Joe Lycett has been working on a stunt which involved infuriating MPs, led to headlines around the world and to Mummy getting in trouble with the police (again).

"Dropping not-so-subtle hints about the stunt in media appearances and concocting fictional characters to mask his endeavours, More, More, More! How Do You Lycett? How Do You Lycett? reveals all about Joe's scheming, and comes stuffed with jokes, paintings, potty-mouthed gardening updates and much more."

The 75-minute show will be available to both stream and download to keep, and comes with a bonus 'making of' interview with Greg James, where Joe reveals more about how he created the show. In addition, the first 1,000 copies sold will also receive a PDF copy of the original tour's programme.
