Hold The Front Page axed after two series

Hold The Front Page, the TV show which follows Nish Kumar and Josh Widdicombe as they work for local newspapers, has ended after two series.
The Sky Max format launched in January 2023 and returned for a second series in April 2024, but The Sun reports there will be no third run.
The show saw the comedians travelling across the UK working for a different local newspaper each week, "on a mission to find real local stories strong enough to make the front page". Across the twelve episodes they filed stories for The Blackpool Gazette, The West Sussex Gazette, The Yorkshire Post, Farming Life, Northamptonshire Telegraph, The Scotsman, Isle Of Wight County Press, The Westmorland Gazette, Euro Weekly News, The Moorlander, Bradford's Telegraph & Argus and The South Wales Argus.
The Sun quotes an un-named source as saying: "The irony of the scenario is not lost on the creative team behind the show, because as a comedian involved in satire Josh is often making swipes at the media. But he got a taste of what its like to have to report on what's going on and realised just what a tough job it can be - particularly when you have to start out in the local press."
