1. Communication Problems

First broadcast: Monday 19th February 1979

It's St. George's Day, and when a Mrs Alice Richards books into Fawlty Towers expecting a room with sea view, Basil's temper begins to boil. Meanwhile, a racing tip from a rare satisfied guest could land him in it with Sybil.

2. The Psychiatrist

First broadcast: Monday 26th February 1979

Basil's delighted when a married couple - both doctors - check in. However, Sybil's busy flirting with a young male guest, and when he discovers that one of the doctors is a psychiatrist, he grows increasingly paranoid...

3. Waldorf Salad

First broadcast: Monday 5th March 1979

Basil gets himself in a fluster when a rather abrupt American guest arrives at the hotel. His English wife is rather more relaxed, but after confusion with the evening meal, temperaments soon change all-round.

4. The Kipper And The Corpse

First broadcast: Monday 12th March 1979

Every hotelier's worst nightmare: a stiff in one of the rooms. Basil's initially concerned as to whether the late Mr Leeman had started his breakfast, but his mind soon turns to clearing the room as soon as possible.

5. The Anniversary

First broadcast: Monday 26th March 1979

It's the Fawlty's wedding anniversary, and Sybil storms out, thinking Basil has forgotten - just moments before a group of their friends arrive for celebratory drinks.

6. Basil The Rat

First broadcast: Thursday 25th October 1979

A public health inspector's visit leaves Basil with a long list of improvements to make to the hotel, but when he discovers that Manuel has been keeping a pet rat for the past year, things go from bad to worse!
