Further details

Matt is back on top. He's leveraged his newfound celebrity to get a guaranteed new series from the network. He tries taking pitches from various writers, but ends up convinced that his best chance for success is to do another show with Sean and Beverly. The Brits are reluctant to abandon The Opposite of Us, even though they're still miserable working for Tim. So Matt continues to woo them. A large stuffed gorilla is involved.

Meanwhile, the fallout from Matt's tryst with the girl from The Box isn't over. He gets a call from his ex-wife Diane. It seems his two young sons have seen the sex tape on line. Diane insists that Matt talk about it with his boys. It quickly becomes clear that father-son chats are not Matt's strength.

Beverly convinces Carol to finally leave her house. After weeks curled up on the sofa, nursing her depression, watching real estate shows, Carol ventures outside. Unfortunately, a simple trip to the donut shop ends up being more traumatising than she ever could have imagined. Carol is convinced her life is over. However, a misdialled phone call leads to a life-changing evening.

What makes a bad TV show?

In an unexpectedly strong position after the rocketing ratings of the The Box, Matt considers a return to scripted television. However none of the offers seem to quite hit the right note.

Featuring: Matt LeBlanc (Matt LeBlanc), Stephen Mangan (Sean Lincoln) & Stephen Mitchell (Maitre D').

Explaining your x-rated viral video

Matt has got some explaining to do. With more of him than is appropriate splashed all over the internet, he must inform his children as to why.

Featuring: Matt LeBlanc (Matt LeBlanc) & Fiona Glascott (Diane).

Quitting the show

Sean and Beverley finally lose it with Tim over his decision to cast Anthony Powner Smith. And they tell him in no uncertain terms where he and his food can go.

Featuring: Matt LeBlanc (Matt LeBlanc), Tamsin Greig (Beverly Lincoln), Bruce Mackinnon (Tim Whittick), Alana Hood (Writer 1), Dominic Coleman (Writer 2) & Peter Hobday (Writer 3).

Press

With things looking up for Matt LeBlanc, he is now getting flooded with job offers. It's a shame they're all awful. Luckily, he has Sean to give him some sage career advice. Elsewhere, Beverly is concerned about Carol's malaise, which is largely manifesting itself in her getting high and watching daytime property shows.
