Julia Raeside, The Guardian, 17th May 2011Duty Free is an old hat ITV sitcom. Mr and Mrs Pearce meet Mr and Mrs Cochrane on a package holiday in Spain. Sparks fly because Mr Pearce is attracted to Mrs Cochrane and vice versa so they keep trying to have a bit of 'ow's yer father. Mr Cochrane doesn't notice but Mrs Pearce does. From 1984-86, Duty Free revolved around dodgy disguises and much hiding in wardrobes. Sophisticated comedy a la Frasier? I think not...
