Don't Forget the Driver review

This new dark-comedy has bags of promise and potential.

Andy Lloyd, Telly Binge, 12th April 2019

Review: Don't Forget the Driver

Toby Jones stars in a new comedy-drama about... oh, never mind. That's all we need to know: 'Toby Jones.' It's going to be a good 'un.

Christopher Stevens, Daily Mail, 10th April 2019

Don't Forget the Driver, BBC Two, review

Trying to beat the Bognor blues.

Adam Sweeting, The Arts Desk, 10th April 2019

Review: Don't Forget the Driver

Don't Forget The Driver sets out to portray both the beauty and ugliness of small-town Britain but in doing so separately can often feel like a mixed bag, when in real life, and in the series in its better moments, these things can overlap or even be one in the same.

Jacob Gibbs, On The Box, 10th April 2019

Toby Jones co-writes and stars in a state-of-the-nation comedy with a very broad brief: everything from Brexit to the migration crisis and the elderly care timebomb is covered in a tale of a coach driver who finds a refugee stowed in his wheel arch. The melancholic tone is offset by a curiously gaudy colour palette.

Gwilym Mumford, The Guardian, 9th April 2019

Toby Jones nobody wants a comedy about Brexit

Toby Jones has written his first sitcom, about a coach driver in Bognor Regis. He and his co-writer Tim Crouch talk politics and the past.

Sarah Carson, i Newspaper, 9th April 2019

Don't Forget the Driver review

If you are sufficiently overawed by Jones' work and reputation, and intrigued by the eccentricities of the production, you'll want to keep on watching.

Sean O'Grady, The Independent, 9th April 2019

Don't Forget the Driver, BBC2, review

Toby Jones is affecting in melancholy comedy.

Adam Sweeting, i Newspaper, 9th April 2019

Don't Forget the Driver review

Toby Jones stars as a Bognor Regis coach driver who discovers a migrant in his wheel arch in a pitch-perfect portrait of the sins and sorrows of our time.

Lucy Mangan, The Guardian, 9th April 2019

Don't Forget the Driver, episode 1, review

This post-Brexit comedy is all bitter, no sweet.
