Series 1

1. Episode One

First broadcast: Tuesday 18th November 1969

Cribbins runs into trouble at the supermarket; leads an end-of-the-world cult; and there's a song about National Hate Day. Meanwhile, the women of the WI have made a decision.


2. Episode Two

First broadcast: Tuesday 25th November 1969

A tax inspector catches out his superior; a hypnotist visits the labour exchange; and an elephant is mislaid on the London Underground.


3. Episode Three

First broadcast: Tuesday 2nd December 1969

A passenger attempts to land an aeroplane; the Coldstream Guards are having an odd time; and a Duke is disturbed in his private bedroom. Plus, there's a song about My Mate Bert.


4. Episode Four

First broadcast: Tuesday 9th December 1969

There's an awkward mix-up in maternity; Superscouse reveals all to his wife; a marketing man gets in a fluster about a frozen peas commercial; and Black Rod has trouble in Parliament.


5. Episode Five

First broadcast: Tuesday 16th December 1969

A husband opens bidding for his soul; a road markings painter goes rogue; a man offers his body for medical research; and this week's song is about living next to the Joneses.

An Eskimo has found his way to London; a father dresses up as Santa to visit his son for Christmas; and a plumber intends to be invested as a Knight of the Garter.
