The series, by writers Johnnie Mortimer and Brian Cooke, ran for twelve episodes over two years, positioning Cribbins in a lead role as opposed to the supporting position he usually played on film and television, exhibiting the full extent of his comic chops for the country to delight in.

Now, the entire two-series collection is being released on DVD, making many comic gems available to enjoy again for the first time in decades.
