Of course, they have not always been The Chuckle Brothers but Paul and Barry Elliott have certainly been entertaining the crowds for half a century as well as decades of television shows which have made them a national treasure.
This is their story, written by Paul with a little "help" from Barry in his own special way. The Chuckle Brothers have been filling theatres and pulling in huge viewing figures for their television shows for a few years now, but it was not always like that.
They know what it is like to entertain the lunchtime crowd in a working men's club where most of the audience are reading the Sunday papers and looking at the clock to see if it is time to go home for their roast dinner.
They know what it is like to be paid off or to be let down by promises that were never kept.
The Chuckle Brothers are all about fun and laughter but behind the scenes they have endured their personal tragedies as well, as you will see in this book.
But make no mistake this is no tale of woe, it is a celebration of two great guys who love what they do and are loved by those they do it for.
