Further details

The throuple's road trip ends in Essex, arguably the most stereotyped region of them all. Keen to investigate if there's more than just big lips, big cars and big nights out here, the trio delve into real Essex life to try and prove the South has substance as well as style.

Ivo gets straight in to trying some local fishy delicacies, before the trio head to Essex's 350 mile coastline for a seal-spotting boat-trip, in hope of seeing some orange sunbathers of a different kind. They embrace the benefits of open water swimming, as Fern meets kindred spirit, Scottish-born swimmer Lachlan and having worked up an appetite, Ivo heads out on the foraging trail to cook up a feast of nettles, while Darren and Fern discover the roots of the 'Essex Girl' stereotype.

They finish their epic adventure with an Essex exclusive Mr (and Mr) and Mrs test; to discover just how compatible their throuple really is.
