Barbara - The Complete First Series

Developed from a pilot in ITV's 1995 Comedy Firsts season, this acclaimed sitcom cast Gwen Taylor as Barbara Liversidge, a blunt-talking, heftily opinionated, advice-giving and occasionally ranting 52-year-old Yorkshirewoman.

Sam Kelly (Porridge, 'Allo 'Allo!) also stars as Ted, Barbara's cab-driver husband of 35 years and a man who has learned long ago to play second fiddle, while Sherrie Hewson (Coronation Street) is her nouveau-riche sister, Jean - victim of many a withering look and practised put-down. Rob Brydon, Helen Atkinson-Wood and Zoe Lucker also appear in this first series, originally screened in 1999. Also includes the original Comedy Firsts pilot episode.

If you are in the North America, look out for US/Canadian flag icons on popular product listings for direct links.

If you order from a UK store, please note that the UK is in Region 2 and B, respectively, for DVDs and Blu-rays - check your player's compatibility, or look for multi-region products if you are located in another region.

If you are in Australia or New Zealand (DVD Region 4), note that almost all DVDs distributed in the UK by the BBC and 2entertain are encoded for both Region 2 and Region 4. The UK and Australasia are in the same Blu-ray region (B).
