Edina is struggling to come to terms with the news of Saffy's pregnancy, and Patsy's only offer is the address of an abortion clinic. They throw themselves into a new celebrity book club, but the arrival of the father-to-be brings Eddy some much needed joy.

Having won the contract to promote a new Duchy Originals range for Prince Charles, Eddy decides she must get into the lifestyles of the landed gentry, taking Patsy away for an expensive weekend of country pursuits. Saffy, meanwhile, is trying to keep Sarah away from Emma Bunton.

It's a big night for Patsy as she gears up to present a prestigious style awards ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall. However it's destined to be a bigger night for Saffy, who suddenly goes into Labour, and without a doctor in sight.

Eddy's first ever boyfriend, Pete, is back on the scene, and he's in possession of a set of lost Beatles recordings. As he, Patsy and Eddy celebrate the find and prepare to unveil the tapes to the world, it seems that nothing can go wrong.

Saffy's feeling the stress of motherhood, and taunted by Patsy as to her tired emotional and physical state, agrees to allow Eddy to look after Jane for the day. Unfortunately, the wayward grandmother doesn't have entirely honest intentions for the young one.
