Written by Mike Jones and Jim Sullivan, the son of show creator John Sullivan, Lovely Jubbly: A Celebration Of 40 Years Of Only Fools And Horses aims to be "a fully illustrated definitive history of the iconic BBC show".

Publishers BBC Books say: "In Lovely Jubbly: A Celebration Of 40 Years Of Only Fools And Horses, John Sullivan's son Jim takes us behind the scenes of each and every episode of the iconic series. Featuring interviews with cast and crew, and never-before-seen images from the Sullivan archive, Lovely Jubbly, this is the ultimate nostalgic trip down Hooky Street, and a cushty gift for Only Fools And Horses fans everywhere."

Only Fools And Horses launched on BBC One on 8th September 1981. After a slow start, it built up audiences to become one of the country's favourite TV comedies. Starring David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst, the comedy finished in 2001 with three episodes, seen by over 20 million viewers. Del Boy and Rodney briefly appeared again in 2014 for a sketch for Sport Relief.

The new book follows on from previous OFAH publications, including Graham McCann's 2011 book Only Fools And Horses: The Untold Story Of Britain's Favourite Comedy, 2013's The Story Of Only Fools And Horses and 2015's Del Boy - He Who Dares...: My Genuine Autobiography.

In January, one of the vans used in the show was auctioned and in February Royal Mail issued 12 stamps to mark the show's 40th year.

Lovely Jubbly: A Celebration Of 40 Years Of Only Fools And Horses, which is available to pre-order now, is due to be published on 30th September.
