Hordes of frenzied girls. Chaotic scenes like no other. Last time The Midnight Beast took on an HMV store, it was one of their wildest gigs to date. And now the YouTube sensations are set to do it all again... this time with some TV fame behind them too. Let's hope the shop staff are prepared.

For those not aware, The Midnight Beast are a young comic band who have clocked up an impressive 50 million views on their YouTube channel, and delivered two sell-out tours to date. They've now got a TV sitcom too: The Midnight Beast.

The stars - Stefan Abingdon, Dru Wakely and Ashley Horne - will be at HMV's flagship Oxford Street store in London's West End on Monday 13th August 2012. The trio will be appearing to celebrate the release of their self-titled E4 sitcom on DVD, and their self-titled debut album.

The band will deliver a performance at 5:30pm, after which they will remain in store to meet fans and sign copies of the new DVD and album, both of which are - conveniently - out on the 13th of August.

The DVD for The Midnight Beast features all the episodes from their E4 series, in which they play struggling musicians, alongside a number of comedic guest stars and regulars including Horrible Histories' Simon Farnaby as their perverse neighbour. The release is also packed with over an hour of DVD exclusive features, including outtakes and extended scenes. Meanwhile, the new album, which features tracks from the show, was written and produced in Stefan's bedroom!

The HMV event is expected to be packed and so you need to be aware that the venue will be restricting the queue to meet the band. 400 wristbands will be issued from the store on the day of the event, on a first-come first-served basis from 8am - so if you want to meet the trio you'll need to be up and on Oxford Street pretty early on Monday 13th!
