Alan agrees to look after Mungo, his girlfriend's talented stunt-dog who proceeds to eat everything in sight.

Anna, Alan's new girlfriend, is going to the funeral of her most loved pony, so Alan agrees to look after her pet dog Mungo. Mungo however is no ordinary dog - he is a stunt dog, who has just appeared in the latest James Bond film.

While Alan goes to the train station to take Anna to the funeral in Scotland, Alan begins to worry that Kate may be right about him not being able to cope. However, Kate is not the best animal carer in the world, when she discovers that recent research causes rabbits to go blind by feeding the carrots.

Mungo causes Alan to worry when the dog eats him out of house and home. Alan and Murray also begin to suspect that Kate's vet has ripped her off. Murray begins to think that he can use Mungo to impress the "Frisbee girls" in the park. But when he goes out, Murray loses the dog, just as Alan learns that Anna is returning.

Kate discovers that Mungo is at the vet, but has to pay £100 to get him out. However, Alan discovers that Mungo has eaten his mobile phone. They go to the vet and get the phone out. Anna and Mungo are reunited and Alan is not dumped. But where is Alan's clock radio?
