A radio series in which the Showstopper! team of musicians, singers and comedians create an improvised musical on the spot and cram it in to half an hour. The songs, plot and characters are based entirely on suggestions from the live studio audience.
There's no script, no score and no planning - the team has to improvise the entire thing purely from audience suggestions, gathered by the show's Master Of Ceremonies.
Showstopper! is regarded as one of the most experienced musical improvisation groups in the country. The core members - Pippa Evans, Ruth Bratt, Lucy Trodd, Sean McCann, Oliver Sentin - regularly perform Showstopper! in London, Edinburgh and Bristol.
