Derek is devastated when he hears that his ex-wife Jackie is unwell. After using Wendy as a shoulder to cry on, he rushes to Jackie's side.

Maureen decides Derek should un-junk his life and sets him to work on the contents of their loft. Derek's ex wife Jackie calls Wendy with some dreadful news which Wendy has to pass on to Derek. He is devastated and rushes to be at her side. Understandably, Maureen takes this badly and all the time a complex story of young love is unfolding on the Mayfield website.
