Bridget Christie will act as curator and co-host of the fourteenth series of The Museum Of Curiosity.

The BBC announced today that the hit format will return at the end of September, with Christie joining series creator and co-host John Lloyd to judge the most interesting objects in the universe.

Each series is referred to as a gallery within the larger museum, curated by that series' co-host.

Radio 4 explains: "The Museum Of Curiosity is a comedy show that invites the world's most interesting guests to donate the exhibit of their choice to an infinite, imaginary museum."

The new six part series will be recorded in June at the BBC Radio Theatre. Tickets

Bridget Christie says: "It is an absolute honour to become the 14th curator of The Museum Of Curiosity. I've wanted to curate a museum ever since I saw a waxwork of Prince William in the Louis Tussauds House of Wax in Great Yarmouth, and now here I am. I have to say though that there's a fair bit of work to be done at the museum itself, in terms of access and security, and let's not mention the toilet facilities."

John Lloyd says: "We've had some truly amazing curators over the years, but they don't come smarter, funnier or nicer than Bridget."

Previous curators of their own gallery include Sarah Millican, Jon Richardson, Bill Bailey, Romesh Ranganathan and Lee Mack.

Series 1 to 12 are available now as digital audio books.

It allows nothing inside that doesn't make you scratch your head, stroke your chin or, at the very least, go 'hmm'. The guests bearing donations to the museum in this collection include Howard Goodall, Corey Taylor, Vic Reeves, Ross Noble, George Monbiot, Lucy Porter, Deborah Frances-White, Stephen K Amos, Konnie Huq, Rory Bremner and Phill Jupitus.
