Tony Law to star in Radio 4 sitcom

Stand-up comedian Tony Law is to star in a new sitcom for Radio 4.

Tony Law: 21st Century Adventurer will see the comedian playing a "brash, fearless explorer."

Law, who is from Canada but now lives in the UK, has made a name for himself on the live comedy circuit for his unique shows that mix surreal elements. He was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2012, and has since appeared on TV shows including The Alternative Comedy Experience, Have I Got News For You and 8 Out Of 10 Cats. He will return to the Edinburgh Festival this August with a new show titled Absurdity for the Common People.

Tony Law: 21st Century Adventurer will be recorded in front of a live audience, and will also star Goodness Gracious Me actor Nina Wadia and Adjoa Andoh (Casualty, Can't Tell Nathan Caton Nothing).

The script has been written by John-Luke Roberts and Gareth Gwynn, both of whom have worked on many Radio 4 shows. Regular writers for The Now Show and The News Quiz, in 2015 they also jointly created the TV sitcom Bull.

Tony Law: 21st Century Adventurer will be recorded at the BBC Radio Theatre in London on Monday 19th June. Tickets
