Following a competition set-up by Mark Thomas, Danny Kushlick, founder and director of Transform Drug Policy Foundation, stood as a candidate in Bristol West campaigning on the People's Manifesto, with Thomas paying for his £500 deposit.
Kushlick was given just 343 votes, winning 0.6% of the vote and losing the deposit. He finished sixth out of seven candidates.
