A radio version of the Ealing Studios film based on a novel by Roy Horniman adapted by Gilbert Travers Thomas from the screenplay by Robert Hamer and John Dighton.

Dennis Price once again plays the role of Louis D'Ascoyne Mazzini, a man who plots to murder his way to dukedom. The D'Ascoyne family are this time played by a variety of actor rather than one single performer.
