Tanya Moodie, Nicola Coughlan and Ray Fearon star in this scandalously funny masterpiece of 18th Century French literature, by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos and dramatised on Radio 4 for the first time.

Sian Ejiwunmi-LeBerre's brand new version plays fast and loose with the letter form of the novel, as luscious young ingenue Cecile de Volanges and lonely wife Lady Tourvel become prey in a struggle for seduction between two ex-lovers, Madame de Merteuil and Count Valmont.

As their affairs become entangled, the rivals' quest for sensation becomes a dangerous contest with fatal consequences.
