Bafta-winning actress, comedian and director Kathy Burke makes a welcome return to BBC Radio 4, sharing a pull-out mattress and late-night conversation with Peter Curran and Patrick Marber.

As they lie together in the dark eating sweets, the trio discuss intimate medical procedures, smoking in the bath, the horror of actors who demand to improvise, and having the wrong nose for Who Do You Think You Are?

Peter Curran, producer of Bunk Bed, says: "Kathy's our first sleepover guest and it was hopeless trying to be quiet and go to sleep with this brilliant woman lying close to us."

Kathy has given life to some of our best-loved comedy characters on screen and won Best Actress at the 50th Cannes Film Festival for her harrowing performance in the film Nil By Mouth. But now she has to spend the night with a pair of middle-aged men who can't stop talking.
